Soap & Glory: Scandalips!!

Soap & Glory's Scandalips! set comes as part of holiday gifts from Boots. It claims to be a lip plumping kit. It comes with Marvelips double-ended pencil and Sexymotherpucker lipgloss in Candy. I've never tried Soap & Glory's cosmetic range before, so I was intrigued by this! Keep reading for product photos and swatches!

This kit comes with a mirror, a two-edged pencil and a sheer lip plumping lip gloss. Although I find that the mirror makes me dizzy.. not good.

The rose colour is meant to define the lips, ie. line and fill, and the white shimmery end is to highlight above the cupid's bow. Both ends of the pencil are sooo soft!! They effortlessly glide on my lips. ♥♥

The Sexymotherpucker lipgloss shade is called Candy. It's a shade exclusive to this set. Candy is a pinky-coral colour with tiny gold flecks, makes me think of MAC Love Nectar lustreglass. It's really pretty, but once it gets on my lips, I can only see the golden shimmers. It smell reminds me of Malibu rum like MAC plush glasses, and it tastes really sweet!

As for the lip plumping effect, when its on I feel ticklish tingles on my lips which fade after about half an hour. During this time, your lips are supposed to plump up, but I haven't noticed any change in the 'plumpness' of my lips, though. Maybe it only works for some people?..

This set was pretty hard to find, and with all these items in the kit, it only cost £12! I thought it was a steal since the lip gloss alone costs about £8-9!

* Fun n Sexy is definitely one of my all time favourite MAC lipsticks! It's a sheer hot pink that has a lot of purple-pink shimmers! It was limited edition from the Fafi collection, sadly, I hope they re-promote it!!

Based on the swatches, Nude Rose and Way to Love look identical!! Just shows how MAC re-promotes products but under different names lol. But they both look great on the lips though. I'm glad to have them ♥♥

Miss Selfridge Lacey Bow Tights

I've been crazy about tights the past few weeks, and these are my favourite ones at the moment. They are from Miss Selfridge and called 'Lacey Bow Tights'. I've never been a fan of the floral lacey tights, but when I came across these bow ones I had to have them!


I love these. They're so pretty. I'm looking for a second pair of these now incase these rip, but I'm afraid they might already be sold out!! :'(

My First Too Faced Eyeshadow!

I got my first Too Faced eyeshadow over the weekend, it's called Label Whore. It's sooo pretty! It reminds me of MAC's Club eyeshadow which I don't have, its a brown-green duochrome. I've wanted to get Club eyeshadow for the longest time, but I've been thinking and re-thinking whether it was worth it because based on swatches in the store, it has aweful payoff. *Well I didn't like it* But when I went to my local drugstore, Boots, and swatched this one, I immediately fell in love with it! Too Faced Label Whore swatch:

See what I mean by the green-brown duochrome? It's brown, but when the light hits it, it becomes a metallic blue-green. Soo pretty~~ It is SOOO soft smooth and pigmented. It looks and feels so much like a veluxe pearl *fellow MAC addicts would relate*. I think I'll be looking at Too Faced eyeshadows much more often now :)

And look how big the eyeshadow pan is in comparison to MAC ones!

Each single eyeshadow from Too Faced has 2.5g of product, whereas a MAC one has only 1.5g. They cost almost the same price in the UK. MAC = £11, Too Faced = £10.25.

All in all, I would highly recommend you check Too Faced eyeshadows out for high quality eyeshadows. I'm eye-ing another colour, but I'll wait til my budget permits before I get it. :)

MAC Holiday Mischief Makers Lipgloss Swatches

Hi guys! It's been a days since my last post, sorry about that, I've been pretty busy! I got to check out the MAC Mischief Makers lipglass sets though, which were released in the UK last Thursday. To be honest I was pretty disappointed. None of them really stood out to me. Out of all of them, I liked Sexy Shenanigans the best, but that's because of how they looked in the tube and hand swatches. But when I tested them on my lips, they were just so sheer. The Frisky Business set was pretty too, but I have similar colours already, and the Models Misbehaving set was just meh. So I didn't purchase any of them. I was able to take photos of a few swatches though, have a look xx

Column 2 Frisky Business: Pinkarat, Beaute, Silly Girl, Wonderstruck (missing Totally It)

* The testers for Totally It! (Frisky Business - bright hot pink) and Poetic License (Sexy Shenanigans - milky nude) were missing. I suspect they were stolen lol. There were just so many people there in Selfridges! *

These sets are good for those who are just starting their makeup collection as they let you try a good variety of colours for a *much* cheaper price! Each of these lipglosses in the set come in a fewer amount of product compared to the regular sized ones, but I haven't finished any of my regular MAC lipglosses yet so I think the amount of product they have is just right!
